The Iberian Group of Natural Bathing Waters (GIABN), a bi-national association of professionals for design and construction of biological pools on the Iberian Peninsula, started a collaboration with other sister organizations in Austria and Italy. Together they launched a research project that aims to try to vanish how and why guests spend their holidays with a biological pool in a tourist resort that has this type of equipment.

It is a study that will take place simultaneously in Portugal, Spain, Austria and Italy during the months of June, July, August and September of this current year. The results of the study will be presented at the 11th international congress on swimming pools with biological treatment that will take place in Albufeira at the beginning of October 2021.

A key part of this research project is a questionnaire in five languages, which is the same in all four participating countries, since this international study aims to try to compare the perception of swimming pools with biological treatment in tourist enterprises in these participating countries.
