A new type of wooden jetty is presented, developed by the team at Bio Piscinas, Lda. and carried out by experienced specialists from SHB, Lda.  The new wooden jetty model applies to new constructions as well as in cases of renovation of existing wooden jetties.

The new wooden jetty combines wood and aluminum. Aluminum and mountain larch wood pillars, underwater, are used to greatly increase the longevity of the wooden jetty. This type of wood, once installed under water, and the strong structure of aluminum rods are almost infinite in longevity.

The heat-treated wooden planks used as decking have a lifespan of 10-15 years and can be replaced individually, if necessary.

This type of wooden jetty will be delivered pre-configured to the working place and it’s construction on site is therefore very fast.

Another advantage is the possibility of achieving very low height constructions and thus a more elegant design that lets the bridge almost “fly” just a few centimeters above the water surface.
