The public biological pool at Borden Park in Edmonton, Canada recently received the prestigious award for architectural innovation from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to our colleagues and friends of the company Polyplan, GmbH in Germany, who designed this public pool with biological treatment. The architects of the gh3 company, Toronto, supervised the project.<\/p>\n

Our contribution to this international collaboration for the public biological swimming pool in Edmonton was the choice of suitable native plants for the biological treatment system and the respective planting plan. Plants contribute in a direct and indirect way to the biological treatment system and its water purification by assimilating nutrients such as phosphates and nitrates and oxygenating the water.<\/p>\n

This biological pool is designed for a capacity of 980 people per day and has water heated to 23\u00baC. This need arises from the geographical location of Edmonton, Alberta, with very short summers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
