There are no studies yet for natural swimming pools but there are already studies for natural ponds, which are the models in nature when building a biological pool. These studies presented at the International Pond Conference 2024<\/a> indicate the following for ponds, which also applies to biological pools designed by Bio Piscinas, Lda.:\u00a0 The main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. One has to observe the balance of the flows of these gases throughout the year.<\/p>\n In wetlands with transparent water and low nutritional status, for example in natural ponds not affected by agriculture and in biological pools, gas sequestration effects through aquatic plants dominate. These plants develop best in clear water, accumulate carbon through their growth and the emission rate of methane and nitrous oxide are low, because the mud from these low-nutrition aquatic systems fixes more climate-damaging gases than it emits.<\/p>\n<\/div> home<\/a> \/ news<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>
