August is vacation month. Hot days! To cool off, everyone is looking for places by the sea. The seaside, the riverside. Or the biopoolside? Everyone has their own preferences. What matters is the presence of water, to take a dip and escape the heat, refresh body and soul, and rest in the cool water that embraces us.<\/p>\n
For us, as human beings, water is essential to our lives, and therefore, very attractive. We can’t take our eyes off a body of water. We want to understand its size, quality, and other details. Do plants or animals live there?<\/p>\n
The experience of water is a holistic one; its humidity, the liquid element, the warm or cold temperature \u2014 all of this challenges our senses. Water can be as soft as velvet or quite hard if we don’t use the right angle to enter it. We can float in it, which seems like a miracle for those who can’t swim. And in crystal-clear water, we can dive and see underwater. And there, underwater, the world seems very different. The reflections of the water create a mysterious and fluid environment; everything seems in motion, either through strong or gentle waves.<\/p>\n
Thus, the water element brings everything to distract us. And distraction, whether of sight or attention, causes bodily relaxation. In this sense, a vacation “by the water” is a vacation of good rest, this time possibly with the experience of a biological pool.<\/p>\n
