What does this have to do with biological pools? – Biological pools attempt to follow nature’s model as closely as possible, especially in terms of planting. We select appropriate species for each type of filling water, and the planting composition strictly follows the phytosociological standard. That is, we copy the coexistence of aquatic plants in biological pools as found in nature. Thus, it is clear that only native species present in the region where the biological pool project is being implemented can be part of the range of species used.

Rewilding consists of restoring a given location to allow for more ecological processes, or in other words, for nature to recover its relative natural balance. The same principle applies to biological pools. Once planted, the submerged species and those that colonize the banks develop under natural competition with each other and under the influence of abiotic factors, such as the region’s climate. Since botanical selection is based on the coexistence of species in the wild (phytosociology), maintenance is minimal and the pattern of plant occupation becomes as natural as possible.

This means that a biological swimming pool contains naturalized water of similar quality to that found in nature, treated by a wide range of hydrophyte species that, thanks to their bioactivity, ensure that the water remains in suitable condition for bathing.

home / news

[102

post-8788","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
