A biological swimming pool (Piscina Biológica®) is an artificial pond, waterproofed with a high quality liner. It is composed of a zone for swimming and another one for purification of the water exclusively by biological and mechanical processes.

A biological swimming pool is for swimming and as well for ornamental purposes, maintaining a natural visual aspect. The water purification is done thanks to the aquatic species installed in it.

The biological swimming pool is considered as a new habitat for indigenous protected flora and fauna from wetlands, especially for amphibians. Thus the installation of the biological swimming pool will contribute to increase the biodiversity of the property and offer possibilities for nature observation.
