The Water Flag is one of the few species best known among the hundreds of aquatic plants used in biological pools.

Iris pseudacorus, its scientific name, refers to its leaves in the form of a sword to remember an old medicinal plant “Acorus” from Asia ie the name says: Iris (lily) which has leaves similar to Acorus.

The Water Flag is much appreciated because it is the first to open its giant yellow flowers. It is a robust plant that easily reaches one meter in height and thus likes to grow in the reeds taking advantage of some shade of the reed.
