It is always a joy to observe animals around a biological pool. Winged creatures are the most common visitors that do not live there permanently, unlike frogs and many species of dragonflies.
Winged animals are always welcome, as long as they are only visitors and do not become residents. This excludes the presence of ducks and moorhens in a biological pool, as the risk of damage to the plants is high. Waterfowl must never colonize a biological pool.
Everyone who comes just to drink is welcome, and on hot summer days, thirst can be very great.
Sometimes, the visit becomes regular, which makes observation easier. If a bird always appears at the same time in the morning, it becomes easier to watch it and, with luck, manage to take a photo like this one of the pigeon on the edge of a biological pool.
