Biological pools are always also fire-fighting ponds. Nowadays, all of them are equipped with a quick TORX connection that allows a direct connection to firefighters’ combat vehicles, once swimming ponds contain a reasonable amount of water.

Unlike dams, biological pools provide clean, transparent water and thus without any risk to damage the proper functioning of the technical equipment of firemen’s vehicles while using this water.

The location of the connection to the water of biological pools is always marked with an SI sign, means fire-fighting service, for the quick identification of the connection site. Unfortunately, there have been two cases of emergency in the past, in which it was necessary to use the water of a biological pool in function of a fire fighting pond.

As an owner of a biological pool it is also possible to connect here directly own equipment (for example a mobile motor pump, suitable for fire fighting).
