The interest in biological pools by tourist companies is huge. Whether five-star hotels, campsites or country houses, more and more people are opting for ecological swimming solutions to differentiate their businesses.

The example shows a mini-tourism in Northern Portugal, where a couple or a family finds a quiet place in a rural village. The biological pool is the jewel of the project. It is located in front of the house and is surrounded by a vegetable garden that offers what it has always offered, fruits and vegetables, and that fresh air that the countryside allows to breathe.

The biological pool has a stairs entrance, a submerged bench to rest in the water and enjoy the view of the landscape, and a wooden jetty for taking a dip. And it offered a beautiful scenery of aquatic plants embracing the swimming area in the center of the small pond. Underwater walls in the form of curtains by liner with tubular structures separate physically the plants area from the bathers’ activities. From there it is possible to see the life of frogs and dragonflies up close, because these living beings are not so shy while people approach the water side, swimming.
