February 2 is the Wetlands World Day.
In 2018 the global theme for this day is “Wetlands for a Sustainable Urban Future”, reminding society that wetland conservation is not only a concern of environmentalists or of those who live in nature, but a concern for all of us even from the more urban population, that we depend daily on the ecosystem and environmental services that these areas provide us.
In this sense, this day is also the day for the owners of biological pools, because they are the ones who contribute with the biological pool to the richness of the landscape in wetlands to offer an artificial habitat for many species of flora and fauna, typical for wetlands.
In urban environments, biological pools quickly become hot spots of biodiversity.
