IOB’s PONDY AWARD (International Organization for Natural Bathing Water) is the prestigious design award for bio-treated pools. Every two years, participants in the international congress on pools with biological treatment choose the best projects in four categories: public, tourist swimming pools, biopools, and biologically treated private swimming pools. In each category three projects are pre-selected by the expert jury. In September this year the International Congress will take place in Warsaw, Poland.

Two projects authored by landscape architect Claudia Schwarzer, Bio Piscinas, Lda., are among the nominees: a biopool and a swimming pond for tourist use. Let’s keep fingers crossed!
